Nicola Jane Raggett

I am currently Headteacher at Kings Norton Girls’ school a SAT in Birmingham.
My motivation is to have a greater impact on educational improvement, benefitting more students; ensuring the best academic, personal and social education and outcomes. This has been my motivation throughout my 30 years in teaching.
I have worked in a wide range of schools, leading on whole school curriculum, teaching and learning and pastoral teams. I have worked across schools to support curriculum development both at a local network and Local Authority level.
I joined KNGS nine years ago, three as Headteacher. I have led the school from its 2012 satisfactory OFSTED inspection to its current outstanding status, I have also ensured rapid growth of the sixth form including the oversite of a new build. I am Chair of Governors at a local Alternative Provision school and currently completing my NPQEL. The NPQEL is enhancing my understanding of the strengths of Multi Academy Trusts and closer cross school collaborative working.
I will bring strong analytical skills, logical thinking, extensive leadership experience, a fresh pair of eyes as a relatively new head, up to date understanding and knowledge and the ability to skilfully and supportively question and challenge.
