Welcome to the Advisory Board elections website
A Message from the National Schools Commissioner
Advisory Boards provide essential advice and challenge to Regional Schools Commissioners (RSCs). The knowledge, professional expertise and experience that boards bring to RSC decision-making has never been more important.
These elections have been delayed by the COVID 19 pandemic, but I am pleased that nominations for a new set of Advisory Board members took place in October, followed by voting opening in November and announcement of the successful candidates early in the new year.
Being an Advisory Board member is an opportunity to work directly with the RSC in your region. You will experience first-hand how decisions are taken, under the published decision making framework, and make an important contribution to helping schools and trusts in your area raise standards for children.
Thank you to those system leaders who have put themselves forward to stand in the elections.
I would encourage every academy head to take part in the election and vote for their preferred candidates in their region. You will soon be receiving information by both email and post on how to vote.
I look forward to announcing the successful candidates and to them starting their work as members of the Advisory Boards, so that we can continue to ensure we provide the best quality education for our children.
