Statement

The Advisory Board offers the opportunity to represent colleagues around the West Midlands who want to embrace the school led system by sharing their experiences and initiatives with the RSC so that our community of schools in the West Midlands will help to shape the national direction for education.
As a reputable CEO in the West Midlands, experienced NLE, advanced facilitator on the NPQEL and Executive member of Shropshire and Telford Teaching School Hub, I would offer expertise in advising on tackling underperformance and the delivery of excellence. Uniquely, I would also bring to the table the rural (hard to reach) voice as this has often been overlooked at national level. My NLE work has given me a strong working knowledge of how to effect change in schools across Stafford, Shropshire, Telford, and Hereford.
Leading The Marches Academy Trust, based in Shropshire – with five primary and four secondary and an all through SEMH school - I have taken on a failing Multi Academy Trust and evidenced embedding impact, raising standards, and securing financial self-sustainability.
I have clear evidence of supporting other schools in the West Midlands through initiatives such as the SSIF project and TSH outreach work.
