Statement

Being part of the Advisory Board motivates me as I thrive on making a difference to schools and young people. I can bring my experience within both Local Authority and Academy sectors to strategically support the RSC and DFE.
Born and educated in the West Midlands, I have an excellent understanding of the area and challenges faced by its communities, and can translate this across the wider area.
As CEO of Victoria Academies Trust, a growing Trust currently consisting of nine primary schools including sponsor, converter, mainstream and SEND free schools across five Local Authorities, I have vast experience across a considerable demographic area. Being CEO of a trust who have undergone significant challenges in the past few years, my experience will bring a balanced view of those more complex cases brought to the board.
I have supported numerous schools on their improvement journeys as headteacher, trust executive and working with external partners - something that I love doing. I believe passionately in the impact that being part of a MAT can have on schools; and feel I have the experience and understanding of the current educational landscape to support the strategic work of the RSC and DfE.
