Jared Eccles

I have been a proud serving headteacher since 2007 and am currently the CEO of The Moorlands Primary Federation, which consists of five, wonderful, small, rural, primary schools in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. During my career, I have worked in Catholic, Anglican, and non-denominational schools. Until last year, I served as Vice-Chair of the Potteries Teaching School Alliance and currently sit on the Strategic Board of The Keele and North Staffordshire Primary SCITT (KNSPS).
As an active NLE, I have been privileged to support several schools with their continued improvement journeys, having personally led one school from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’ and another to ‘outstanding’ grades. Our Trust has received three letters from the Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP for, ‘very high progress’. To date, I have experience of five academy conversions and have also advised other schools and their Governing Bodies of the process and benefits to academisation and multi-school working. I am passionate about collaborative working to improve education for all children.
Extensive knowledge of small schools’ working practice and the benefits of collaboration are what I can bring to the role, and the desire to support and work with small schools is my motivation for standing.
