Kate Tague

Kate is the serving Chief Executive Officer of the WMG Academy Trust and has over 5 years of executive leadership experience within academy trusts. Throughout her career, Kate has held a range of leadership roles in schools and business, including assistant headteacher, vice principal, principal and executive principal roles across mainstream secondary schools and university technical colleges.

As well as over 15 years’ experience in the classroom, Kate also has over 10 years’ experience in advisory roles, working for local authorities and awarding bodies in localised, regional and national roles. Through school improvement roles with one of the largest local authorities in the country and project management experience for the national roll out of the BTEC qualification, Kate has developed a solid understanding of the secondary education and vocational education sectors.

Away from work, Kate is married, has two children and lives in Staffordshire.
