Margaret Yates

I am a CEO with eighteen years' service in headship and executive leadership with experience of driving and securing successful school improvement within a multi-academy trust, as well as in primary and secondary academies. As a serving NLE much of my work has involved working alongside headteacher colleagues and governing bodies through delivering CPD and school-to-school support. I am a member of the Stoke Opportunity Area strategic board and have an understanding of the challenges, strengths and developments facing schools across the WM region. My motivation to stand for re-election of the AB stems from an unwavering desire to contribute to wider education policy and developments in our profession so that we can collaborate and generate a world-class education system in which every pupil is guaranteed to access a fully inclusive curriculum which inspires and allows them to flourish and succeed in life. My experience in establishing a teaching school has also inspired me to seek to provide the best possible opportunities, support and career pathways for all staff through innovative experiences across all phases of education which encourage effective collaboration and build capacity within the profession. It would be a privilege to continue as a representative of the AB.
