Statement

As Principal of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College and CEO of the PET I can bring something unique to the Advisory Board. I have worked in the area for six years, developing the curriculum, improving teaching and learning and extending the enrichment and aspiration raising activities of the college. As Vice Chair of SASCAL I work with fellow headteachers in citywide initiatives and oversee programmes for resit Maths and English and mental health across three colleges – with much success. I am currently Chair of the Association of Staffordshire Colleges, working collaboratively with my fellow Principals.
As CEO of the PET I have pioneered associate membership, and now four academies strong we are delivering curriculum initiatives extending beyond the Trust e.g. in Maths mastery, high achievers programmes amongst others. An SLT training programme is developing our leadership teams and some beyond the Trust.
As Vice Chair of St Peter’s Academy Council I lead the working group on quality of education and have supported pupil premium and faculty reviews. I have continued to teach Maths throughout my career with strong outcomes.
Overall I can bring expertise in strategic leadership, academy improvement and curriculum development across key phases, championing innovative practice
