Statement

I have recently embarked on my journey as CEO of The Staffordshire Schools Multi Academy Trust having enjoyed 14 years of Headship (8 years as Executive Headteacher) across two ‘Outstanding’ schools. My experiences of collaboration, Federation and Academisation provide my motivation to apply. It is an exciting prospect to influence decisions through challenge and support by working with passionate system leaders, our RSC and RDD towards the important, operational decisions they make.

My roles have afforded me experience of outward facing, system leadership supporting and sharing practice with other schools. My Headship, position as Pupil Premium Reviewer, NPQH supporter and achieving an NPQEL have developed my skills as a collaborative leader. I am motivated by the difference I can make to those working in education and the children they serve aiding the drive for a self-improving system which delivers excellent educational outcomes for all. I’ve developed my understanding of the educational landscape, skills around assessing school performance, reviewing governance structures and challenging school improvement. I believe I can bring experiences and local knowledge to the advisory board whilst recognising that I’ve a lot to learn and people to meet – an opportunity I would relish undertaking. Thank you.
