Annette Williams

In April 2017, I became CEO of the newly-formed Weaver Trust, an ambitious and growing Multi-Academy Trust of primary schools in and close to Northwich, Cheshire.
I have over fourteen years’ experience of headship, primarily leading a two-form entry school, providing outstanding education, and delivering strong primary initial teacher training through the Straight to Teach programme, in partnership with TES Global.
I am passionate about system leadership, understanding the importance of using on-the-ground expertise to support and enhance performance of leaders and teachers. As a Local Leader of Education, I have successfully raised standards for 3 schools in challenging circumstances in Executive Headteacher roles.
I have also been an active member of the Safeguarding Children in Education Board, Cheshire West Early Years Advisory Group, and participated in Pupil Premium Reviews, analysing data and providing solutions to address under-performance of vulnerable groups.
I am passionate about ensuring every child, no matter their background or starting point, has the same opportunities and rights to success. I know this comes from creating, committed communities where the well-being of all involved is fundamental to world-class achievement. I hope to draw on my skills, knowledge and experience, if elected to the West Midlands Advisory Board.
