Statement

I am the CEO of the Cromwell Learning Community Multi Academy Trust in Birmingham. Delivering high quality outcomes and equipping children with the skills and qualities for successful lives is what drives me to come to work every day.
We are a small multi-academy trust. Schools joining a multi-academy trust is a transformational decision, it must be the right decision for both parties with mutual benefits. This is a principle that I hold regardless of the context.
A headteacher’s job is challenging and complex, therefore we need to ensure that system leaders work collaboratively to define schools’ needs, using existing forums to push forward our agenda and to deliver partnership school improvement. Consequently, I am a member of several forums: Titan, BEP, Warwickshire’s Strategic Group and Leicester University Diversity Group where I am a proactive member.
I have been an NLE for several years and the CLCMAT has worked in partnership with other schools on their school improvement journey in Birmingham, Warwickshire, and a school in Worcestershire. I am committed to working partnerships based on respect, openness, and integrity. I willingly share our effective practices with schools and value others’ contributions, all schools have something to offer.
