Matthew Snelson

I will bring a fresh, authentic voice, placing children at the heart of decision making, ensuring that they are provided with opportunities to thrive and flourish whilst in education and preparing them to continue this beyond it. Professionals should be supported by a system which rewards hard work, dedication, and care to reach this goal.

I have experience of Primary, Secondary and the 6th form sector evidenced through:

- my role as a Principal of The County High School Leftwich, a high achieving Secondary School, which provides joyous and rewarding experiences for my students,
- as the Deputy CEO of The Sir John Brunner Foundation a secondary MAT with an exceptional 6th Form College in Sir John Deane’s college, where students’ academic, personal development and character are nurtured,
- my role as Trustee of a MAT, where I support a Secondary School to be the best version it can be,
- my former role as a Trustee of a primary school MAT where I learnt about the delights and challenges of the Primary sector.

I will provide advice utilising my expertise, striving for a pursuit of excellence, rooted in core values of integrity and hope for children’s futures.
