Nic Brindle

Having extensive experience in both the Alternative Provision and SEN sectors leading both types of schools to outstanding levels within the our relatively new MAT I hope to bring additional expertise to the Advisory Board. We also run independent AP provisions and are further opening two more SEN free schools as well as currently discussing a SEN and maintained PRU joining our family.

I have first hand experience of how beneficial these provisions can be to the continuum of education for all children, if properly intertwined in the overarching strategy of education. I am keen to bring this different and rounded view to the advisory board to make sure all aspects of a supportive education system can be considered, furthering a strategic view to support all children no matter their current state or stage.

I currently represent AP / SEN free schools on numerous panels and work with the DFE, have consulted for the MoJ on the secure schools programme, lecture at four universities on AP and SEN topics as well as sitting on the national AP reference group inputting on system change across the AP sector.
