I have been committed to wider service across the West Midlands for almost a decade, including serving on the WM Headteacher Board since its inception in 2014 and as the WM Lead for the Teaching School Council from 2018 until its dissolution in the summer. In all such endeavours, I have sought to act with fairness and integrity, seek solutions and forge collaborations that are in the best interests of all the region's children and their communities. Being accessible to all has been an important part of this commitment and would remain so.
Our Trust's family of schools includes large and small, urban and rural, primary and secondary (and soon all-through), diocesan and non-denominational, long-standing and new free school provision. I believe this makes me well-positioned to understand the context, opportunities and challenges faced by our schools and their leaders. With both a Teaching School Hub and a Research School working under the auspices of our Trust, this further enhances my appreciation of the landscape of the sector, as does my work as an NLE.
I remain inspired as a teacher (FCCT), with the passion for our schools and their children to be the best they can be.
