I am the CEO of The Learning for Life Partnership based in Cheshire East, with five primary schools serving a diverse range of communities. Our trust has a clear mission – “To work in partnership to improve the life chances for all”, which is precisely how the Advisory Board should work.
I have leadership experience across Primary, Secondary and Early Years , in the maintained, faith and academy sectors. A key priority to me is developing and improving system leadership to best support stakeholders across all our schools.
Trusts drive school improvement. Trust accountability structures and collaboration enable a clear focus on raising standards whilst recognising the individuality, culture and context of each school. Collaboration between Trusts and schools is essential to ensure all schools can deliver the best education their communities need.
My commitment is to the whole system. I understand the challenges faced by schools and have supported the system throughout this pandemic in my work as a union branch official and in my civic leadership duty as a CEO. Being a member of the Advisory Board for this area would further my commitment to the system and allow me to share my experience in a wider context.
