Robert Gasson

I have worked in the South West since 2005, I am an experienced Chief Executive with extensive experience as both a CEO and mainstream trustee. My first Headteacher role started in 2000 and I have worked extensively with pupils who exhibit challenging behaviour and those who are unable to access school due to their health in Mainstream, Special and Alternative Provision. I contribute to developing and leading Education and inclusion policy and practice as a long term member of the NAHT SEND Council & member of the Cornwall and Devon CEO networks. I have also worked long term with the DfE and Ministers, latterly through membership of the AP stakeholders group. I currently work across five local authorities in the SW and as such feel that I have a very good regional and local view of the challenges being faced by pupils & colleagues across the educational landscape. My trust continues to grow and make a significant contribution to improving outcomes for our most challenging and vulnerable pupils. I believe AP and Special should be represented on the Advisory Board as I believe we have a significant contribution to make from a unique point of view of this landscape.
