Robert Farmer

“All About the Child,” our new strapline at the Hamwic Education Trust accurately sums up my vision and philosophy behind the Trust and approach to education.

Having built HET back in 2011 to now 34 schools spanning four local authorities and sitting across two RSC regions, I believe that every local school should be good enough for the children in its local community and that the academy programme can be a driver in delivering this ambition. I am passionate about the role of education in improving individual life chances for children and young people. We have a morale imperative to ensure the best education for every child and working with other Trusts and MAT Leaders I endeavour to ensure that this is the case.

I work with amazing School Leaders and Staff who share a passion and resilience in ensuring that, through communities and partnerships, pupils and families receive a deserving educational entitlement and since inception and this is demonstrated in our Ofsted outcomes.

I believe that my track record of founding, growing and leading a large Trust as well as my desire, energy and enthusiasm for all children to achieve, makes me an ideal candidate for the Advisory Board.
