Craig Jones

I am passionate about all children experiencing high-quality teaching and learning and would relish serving the region as an AB member with that end in mind. I have led schools in North Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, and the United Arab Emirates. At Cam Everlands, Gloucestershire, I led the school from ‘RI’ to ‘Good’. I am currently at Haywood Village Academy, a 3-11 primary in Weston-super-Mare. I began as the founding Principal in 2016, and led the school to ‘Outstanding’ at its first inspection in 2019. School leadership has taught me much about the power excellent practitioners at all levels have to realise improved outcomes for children; I am proud and humbled to have worked alongside many.

As Senior Principal within the Cabot Learning Federation, I have led on aspects of primary curriculum development, while remaining fully committed to partnerships and developments across all phases and designations, including AP, in our diverse 3-19 MAT.

All children deserve an enjoyable, memorable, and empowering education. I am highly motivated to support school leaders as they seek the best ways to serve their unique communities. It would be a privilege to support the RSC in shaping excellent educational provision across the South West.
