Jack Mayhew

As a previous Head in junior and secondary schools, and now CEO of a cross-phase MAT of 12 schools, I believe I present detailed experience of the academy sector and the desire and knowledge to bring about further dynamic change to embed the school improving system. Through detailed knowledge of trust mergers, and improvement strategies for both sponsor, free and convertor academies, I hope to provide drive to expand our sector, but also improve it.
With professional experience of working alongside Local Authorities, DfE officials, RSC colleagues and school leaders I intend to facilitate greater collaborative working within the sector and maintain the equitable needs of all children as our primary goal.
Academies stand at a vital time in their evolution, I hope to drive further sector consolidation and improvement in how we all deliver for those in our care. It is up to school leaders to drive the change we wish to see, working alongside every facet of the education community to provide all young people with the best chance possible. If we do not improve our sector further the opportunity to shape it positively may be lost.
