Marie Sweetlove

I am a skilled and knowledgeable leader who has worked in education for over 18 years. 5 years as CEO of Fortis Trust and Principal of Bradfields Academy, an outstanding SEND provision. I will bring a wealth of experience from mainstream and specialist sectors covering early years to post-19 education. I work hard to make a difference for young people and educationalists both locally and nationally. I am a founding Member of the MATA with Convenzis Education; Vice Chair of Medway Secondary Head teachers Association (MSHA), and a steering group member of the Medway & North Kent MAT CEO Alliance. I am also an active member of the National AP & SEND Network. Fortis Trust supports over 90 schools through our outreach service, as such I am well placed to understand the challenges facing our sector and to celebrate successes.
Post Covid, Schools and Trusts face many challenges, it is vital they are listened to and supported. As an Advisory Board member, I will listen to and amplify the voices and experiences of all headteachers and CEOs providing advice and guidance to the RSC team ensuring that a true understanding of experiences on the ground are heard and acted upon.
