Matthew Kleiner-Mann

I would be honoured to be part of the Advisory Board for the North-West London and South-Central Region. I believe that this body has a powerful remit to support the RSC in making the best decisions for the children across the region, particularly those that are disadvantaged.

Since September 2017, I have been CEO of Ivy Learning Trust, a growing 10 primary school MAT, working across Enfield and Hertfordshire. In this role, I have experienced the pain and pleasures of growth, through conversion, sponsorship and mergers.

My passion is for school improvement, both within Ivy Trust and as an NLE. I am a firm believer in the role of innovative practice in driving such improvement. My most far-reaching work has been around introducing a no-marking culture to many schools in the region: reducing workload whilst supporting children in becoming independent learners.

I am an optimist and believe that the pandemic has shown the power of collaboration to improve children’s life chances. I would like to contribute towards harnessing this power to help schools recover and become stronger.

I am the Vice Chair of the London CST group and I sit on the Sub-Education group for the London Mayor’s Office.
