Sue Collings

I’m CEO of the Ridgeway Learning Partnership, a cross-phased trust in Hertfordshire and have been a secondary Head for over 12 years. More recently I have gained huge experience in the primary sector with the schools within the trust; and I am also a Governor for the Herts Virtual School.

I am keen to work within the Advisory Board to ensure that academies get correctly placed so that children get the best education. I believe in transparency of the board’s decisions and as an ethical leader I want schools and educators to understand the impact of this middle tier in the education system.

I have led a large secondary academy from 'average' to 'above average' academic performance. My school was the first Google reference school in Herts and our chromebook programme has gone from strength to strength especially during the pandemic in which we transitioned to online learning seamlessly.

I have coached leaders with my school, trust and region resulting in greater capacity to help improve other schools. More recently I have been elected as the ASCL representative for the Eastern England region and I value greatly the responsibility I have with senior leaders across all schools in our area.
