Andrew Wilcock
Academy name | Bishop Ramsey Church of England School |
Academy trust name | Veritas Educational Trust |
I would like to use my significant leadership experience to offer independent, well-founded advice to the RSC in order to promote high quality education across the region. I am a Headteacher and CEO, who retired in 2021, after 19 successful years of headship in this region. I led my school through academisation in 2011 and oversaw its development into a small MAT that included a SCITT and a free school in the pre-opening phase.
A former NLE and Headteacher of a Teaching School, I have experience in supporting colleagues across all phases of education. I have chaired both Hillingdon Schools Forum and the Hillingdon Association of Secondary Heads, so am familiar with the many issues that academies face. While CEO of Veritas Educational Trust, I worked with the RSC's office in evaluating the expansion of a MAT and can bring clarity of thought to the complex issues involved in discussions about MAT expansion. I have experience of governance in both primary and secondary phases.
As a recently retired person, I have both time and energy to commit to the role.
