Sarah Bennett

As a CEO with over 5 years experience, I have always delighted and invested in our School Improvement system which has entrusted us with having the expertise and resource to make informed and contextualised decisions to enable our young people to flourish. I wholeheartedly support the continuous development of School Improvement activity across the NWSLC region and have represented the regional School Improvement system as a Teaching School Council Lead and as a committed member of RSC’s Advisory Board. Within NWLSC, I have led Outstanding schools, turned around Special Measures schools, supported schools as an NLE, developed an Outstanding SCITT, created a TSA and founded a 15-school MAT. These experiences have taught me that current practitioners are valuable drivers in helping shape the future success for all our young people and staff.

I believe as Academy leaders, we have already made brave decisions and that we need to protect, challenge and support each other further. A sustainable system is key and investing in our staff, being creative with our resource and encouraging more collaborative activity will allow us all to prosper together as we move into a post pandemic world and its new challenges for our young people.
