Alice Hudson

I am standing for election in order to represent the perspective of the wide range of smaller MATs (like ourselves) and single academies (heavily represented in the Teaching School Hub which we lead) as well as schools which currently sit outside the Academy programme. I am strongly committed to supporting professional collaboration between schools and have aimed to ensure that our first steps in establishing Teach West London (a TSH serving school in Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow) ) have been founded on this principle.
I have had 10 years’ experience in setting up and growing a secondary MAT which now has four successful schools committed to excellence in terms of outcomes and breadth of provision. Prior to this I had 10 years as Head of a school consistently rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’. As a Trust we pride ourselves in being outward looking and innovative in areas of curriculum development and ITT and have taken part in a range of related initiatives as well as being eager to learn from others. We seek to share our positive experiences with the wider educational community and would see membership of the advisory board as an opportunity to do this systemically.
