Debi Bailey

Having been born and raised in an area of socio economic disadvantage, I know first hand the importance and impact of a good education. Having spent my whole teaching career working in areas of high disadvantage, my commitment to inclusion and collaboration has been born from my experiences in education.
I am currently CEO of a mixed multi academy trust including both primary and secondary schools across two LAs. As a relatively new trust (formed in 2017) I have recent and relevant experience of the challenges and opportunities facing trusts and trust leaders including growth and sponsorship. Furthermore, as an NLE I have extensive experience of school improvement and have taught across the whole primary age phase and KS3. I have led a teaching school and currently provide strategic leadership to the research school within our trust. I have held a range of senior leadership roles including executive head teacher of two schools and feel that I can call upon my knowledge and experiences to offer challenge and advice and champion our system. I am committed to education opening doors for all young people and to that end, work tirelessly to be the difference to young people and their communities.
