Joanna Bailey

My motivation is to ensure that all types of education setting, including non-statutory education and alternative provision, have a voice and are understood as they look to convert and grow in the academies space. My background is in post-16 education but my approach has always been collaborative and since our MAT was established we have diversified into primary education and alternative provision. I can bring fresh thinking to the Advisory Board about how Trusts could be effectively configured. Inclusion is close to my heart and I believe it is of the utmost importance that we promote an agenda where academies can meet the needs of all young people, especially SEND and disadvantaged pupils. With a proven track record of delivering high quality outcomes and educational experiences to the broadest range of young people I am committed to raising aspirations and promoting a love of learning As a Regional System Leader I was responsible for making school improvement interventions within and beyond our Trust, forging links across the Tees boroughs and beyond. A Principal since 2009 and a MAT CEO since 2017, I bring a wealth of experience, an open mind and a drive to ensure high quality education for all.
