Being part of a MAT is the best way for schools to self improve. Collaboration between academies encourages reflection and informs best practice. It is pivotal in broadening and strengthening professional development. I passionately believe that 'matching' appropriate schools and Trusts is the key to success and am keen to support the process which establishes that. The considered and correct conjoining of a Trust and a school ensures a symbiotic and harmonious relationship allowing both parties to benefit. It is essential that Trusts are supported in growth and that a fair and measured process is applied to secure ongoing success and development for all. At Victorious we now have nine schools and the effectiveness of our approach can be fully experienced as we have enough schools to facilitate effective collaboration. This has led to significant impact on standards, morale and pedagogy. I want to support other Trusts in reaching the stage where true benefit can be felt. I liaise with many UK MATs and I speak nationally as an advocate for the academy system. Recently I was selected to present as an inspiring female leader. I also facilitate NPQEL training and am a Member of a MAT in East Cheshire.
