Kash Rafiq

As an educationist, my philosophy is simple: positive relationships are at the core of what I do every day, along with high quality teaching and pastoral care overseen by strong and passionate leadership.

My 18-year career in education, including ten years as a senior leader, has provided me with significant depth and breadth of leadership experience; I have held multiple high-profile roles in schools facing considerable challenges and disadvantage. During this time, I have consistently demonstrated the ability to lead, motivate and inspire both staff and students alike - which has resulted in rapid, tangible and sustained improvement in numerous settings. I have a clear understanding of school monitoring, evaluation and review - and a proven track record of bringing transformational change to three very different and challenging schools.

To know that you have led a school through a period of change and come out the other end with your vision and methods validated is a hugely motivating factor for me. I am keen to use my knowledge and professional expertise to work collaboratively and constructively with members of the advisory board to extend my sphere of influence, thus empowering other leaders to sustain vital change.
