Kerrie Henton

Having worked in education for 25 years, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience across both secondary mainstream, in which I worked for 18 years and alternative provision in which I have gained a further 7 years experience. I currently lead an outstanding, award winning alternative provision in the centre of Nottingham. I also sit on the School’s Forum for Nottingham City.

Creating unimagined futures is the vision on which our academy is built and this is the vision that I apply to every endeavour. Our academy has been outstanding since 2014 and each year we look for innovative ways to push forward, to enhance the quality of education for the most vulnerable students in Nottingham. In developing ourselves we also look for ways in which we can support other schools and we have opened our doors to other academies, knowing that working collaboratively can help us all to achieve more.

I have never been a fan of fireworks in the sky, wonderful for a moment but quickly gone. I would like to join the advisory board to make a sustained difference to education in the East Midlands and the Humber and I would welcome your vote. Thank you
