Statement

I am happy to put myself forward for Associate Board membership. I have worked in the region since 1997, and have a wealth of successful experience as a Headteacher in Primary, Middle and Secondary Schools, as well as an LA Adviser, SIP, Ofsted Inspector and Trust Member. I have taken over schools in Special Measures and Requires Improvement, working with the staff and school community to secure sustained improvement.
I currently lead the White Hills Park Trust, a small mixed primary-secondary Trust, with a track record of achievement, an ethos of inclusion and a commitment to improvement through the empowerment and development of staff.
I am an advocate of collaboration across the system, and have provided advice and support to colleagues on many occasions. Our Trust works with a large group of local schools on the development of shared CPD.
We are a Pathfinder for the Framework for Ethical Leadership and I believe in values-led, ethical leadership.
I believe that all schools and academies, including those in small and growing Trusts, should have a strong voice on the Advisory Board. This is a hugely important role, which depends upon key skills of listening, understanding context and evidence-based decision-making.
