Education of children across the region is something I am immensely passionate about. Making sure all children receive a world class education, no matter where they live, should be their right.
As a Headteacher and now the CEO of a Trust, I have demonstrated that even the most vulnerable and challenged schools can improve quickly and perform well with strong leadership and challenge, but ultimately with effective and tailored support that allows them to become self-sustaining and give back to the system.
Across a variety of roles including a Trust leader, a NLE, through the teaching school programme, various school improvement offers and more recently through teaching school hubs I have built a wealth of experience, knowledge and most importantly professional relationships that place me well to advise openly and honestly as a member of the advisory board if successful. Honesty and integrity is something I pride myself upon.
I've championed EMSYH for many years, celebrated where we have excelled, but also challenged when it has been clear we are not meeting the needs of the children under our care, it would be a privilege to continue to do this as a member of the advisory board.
