Following a career as a mainstream headteacher, I now lead a MAT of Special, PRU and primary schools and act as the Nottingham City Council commissioner for sixteen AP centres, AP free schools, and Independent AP's. All of which has given me a wide range of experience and expertise I believe will be beneficial to the advisory board's work.
I have an unwavering conviction that children must come first in all we do, and I am an unapologetic advocate of children with complex needs. The schools I lead are united in their belief that our diversity makes us stronger, and I am keen to see system growth that reflects this belief.
I am now in my third year in post. Our MAT has successfully achieved three good inspection outcomes in the last two years and introduced a new Governance Hub model to support the necessary expertise and understanding of the complexity of MAT governance accountability.
I am engaged in several CEO networks, support the Autism Education Trust, AP Task Force, and a Ministry of Justice YOI Education Centre tender.
I hope these experiences and skills bring a rounded view to this role to support the regional office's future decision-making.
