As CEO of a small trust, I’m interested in ensuring the right decisions are made in the right order. If elected, I will use my experience in managing change in difficult circumstances to support the board in choosing the most suitable course of action.

The interests of children are paramount. Seeking the right solution involves looking at the available evidence and selecting the best available option. I recognise that this process can be fraught and difficult and I have a track record of working positively with colleagues to achieve successful outcomes in a high-stakes environment. I retain a shop-floor understanding of the implications of the work of the RSC on school leaders and would use this knowledge if elected.

I will bring a sense of fairness to the role which is essential to retaining the trust of school leaders. I believe in honest, straightforward communication and champion transparency wherever possible. I believe in collaborative practice and if elected I will commit myself to this way of working.

I have experience of the implications of both relative failure and success, having led an outstanding school consistently in the top 50 for progress in the country that was previously judged RI.
