Delivering a model for effective school improvement is something I’m passionate about. I’m keen to join an Advisory Board that plays a key role in allowing successful schools to flourish and to make difficult decisions for schools that need support.

Formally a civil servant in the academies team, I was part of the team that challenged Local Authorities on their poorest performing schools, working with ministers to match sponsors and form successful academies. Also in the National Challenge team, I became region lead for the North-West. I am ambitious for schools and their pupil’s progress.

Since 2009, I have held senior roles in large and small MATs and since 2015 have been CEO of BPET. BPET has eight primary schools all rated at least Good by OfSTED, three are Outstanding, seven of which have been started from scratch.

I am passionate about school autonomy, where the structure for school leadership allows the very best leaders and teachers to deliver the highest standards of education. In equal measure I believe in providing exceptional back office support that enables education excellence. Schools should be enabled to deliver a broad, rich and deep balanced curriculum, appropriate and tailored for their communities, that inspires
