Susannah Edom-Baker
Academy name | Attain Academy Partnership |
Academy trust name | Attain Academy Partnership |
My career spans over forty years including primary, middle and secondary teaching, advisory work, two deputy headships and two headships in Essex. I work closely with colleagues as an NLE and was also an OFSTED inspector. I am Director of CTSA (Previously Chelmsford Teaching School Alliance) and our outstanding Primary SCITT and EYITT offer as well as having led the successful NAHT Aspire programme in partnership with the local authority. As CEO of Attain I also continue to develop a range of outstanding educational support locally.
My application is based on respect for the honest and selfless way in which teachers, senior leaders and local and national bodies have always collaborated closely to improve the life chances of each child within their care. (Never more evident than during Covid). In current and past roles I have gained in-depth local knowledge, experience and confidence to review, evaluate and challenge actions, systems and decisions, working productively with all stake-holders to contribute to a first-class offer for all young people. My motivation is based on a belief that every school/trust should be part of an aspirational and effective “self-improving system” and I am driven by a desire to see this come to fruition.
