Mr Tony Parfett

I became the CEO of Catalyst Academies Trust whilst serving as Executive Headteacher of Quarry Hill and Dilkes Academy which had received an outstanding Ofsted rating the previous year. Quarry Hill Academy, a highly deprived school, had struggled to stabilise staff, improve pupil performance, to effectively manage behaviour and efficiently manage its budget. Within a year as head the school was re-inspected and received an outstanding judgement, with performance significantly higher than local schools and within the top 5% nationally.

Another Trust school, Benyon Primary School, a school that had been experiencing significant challenges under LA management, moved from inadequate to Good in its first full inspection under my leadership as part of Catalyst Academies Trust.

The Trust now consists of five primary schools whose performance has been transformed. We have been one of the highest performing primary MATs for three years and have been recognised by the DfE for the performance of our disadvantaged pupils.

I am an NLE with experience of working with and transforming the lives of pupils and schools in challenging circumstances, my aspiration, drive for school improvement, high expectations, belief in system leadership and impact are testament as to why I should be considered.
