Adrian Ball

Our 39 primary schools are located across four local authorities and range in size between 35 and 450 pupils. As CEO, I have developed experience of the pressures that small schools are facing and how those pressures can be alleviated through the benefits provided by working within family of aligned schools.

My previous roles include the Chief Operating Officer of a Trust in Norfolk with both Primary and Secondary phases. Prior to this I was the Principal of a secondary school in Norfolk and led the school from Special Measures to a overall rating of Good with Outstanding leadership. I am a member of both the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk School's Forums and a Trustee of Villier's Park Educational Trust, a charity that aims to remove social disadvantage for young people. I also provide support to other Trusts through the DfE Trust and Schools Improvement Offer.

As more schools seek to join Trusts, the majority of whom are likely to be within the primary sector, I can offer the necessary knowledge and guidance to support the RSC in their decision making utilising my experiences of working with large numbers of primary schools in both growth and steady state environments.
