I am a passionate educator and Headteacher in Primary Education. Through my career of over twenty-five years, fifteen of which as a school leader, I have always sought to widen my own understanding, experience and knowledge of pedagogic practice and systemic leadership for the betterment of the communities I have served. The opportunity to be a voice within an advisory board for a region is a step towards serving a larger and more diverse community alongside other leaders and a role that would be a challenge and privilege to hold.
My skills include a working knowledge of evidence-informed pedagogy and leadership, gained through my qualifications with the Chartered College of Teaching and NPQEL tempered with experience that is people-led. I am an energetic and open-minded leader and practitioner who seeks to empower others. My experiences and skills include supporting and encouraging school leadership across many phases, in many domains. These include being an Executive Member of the Essex Primary Heads Association; a past Chair of the Colchester School’s Consortium; a Local Leader of Education; a nationwide board member of Computing at Schools and a coach and mentor for those new to Headship and Leadership.
