Mark Farmer

I would be delighted to become a member of the RSC Advisory Board. I feel I have the right range of skills, passion and experience to advise and to challenge the RSC on all Academy-related discussions, and to consider any proposals with knowledge and integrity.
I have been a senior leader in schools for 20 years, including Headship for 10 years, an executive Headteacher for 2 years and CEO of a 12-school MAT across Essex for 4 years. I have a vast range of experience within different school contexts and the current schools in our MAT cover every phase of learning (ages 2-19). Our core values focus on the 'journey of a child' throughout their educational life and 'community'.
I am currently delivering the new NPQH course and support other Academies/MATs as part of the new DFE Trust and School Improvement offer strategy.
Those that know me would say that I am a fairly straight-talking professional, who doesn’t shy away from challenge when and where needed, and that I am fundamentally in the job for the children to have the best provision and life chances possible.
