Ruth Brock

I have been in education since 1987 in many roles, beginning with teacher, various roles within schools, then HT of a primary school, SIP, Strategic Lead for School Improvement in a LA and now CEO. In between I qualified as a Lead Ofsted Inspector, became a HMI for 3 years across the East of England, and am now responsible for a medium/large growing MAT in Southend, catering for some 3,500 primary and secondary pupils and 500+ staff on 7 sites.
Along with the experiences above, comes the unique opportunity to visit, hear from and see first hand, the expertise within our schools. It also affords me the opportunity to experience first-hand the challenges that we as professionals face.
Representing Headteachers has always been a passion of mine - from being the Chair of Essex Primary Heads Association, to working closely with the DfE/RSC and various LAs.
I would be proud to be able to input into the ever-changing education agenda, to champion our schools/professionals and I believe I have considerable experience and expertise to offer this strategic group and would welcome the opportunity to work with other like-minded colleagues on this common focus.
