I am committed to an education system that delivers excellence for every single young person, providing the same opportunities and choices wherever they live and whatever their background. I believe the school system should be designed to make sure that no school fails. We have a duty to each other to provide support where it is needed and we need to make sensible, logical decisions as the network of academy trusts grows, putting the needs of children, families and communities first. The academy system is capable of demonstrating strong, authentic and morally driven leadership and I believe that openness, collaboration and connection are key. As CEO at ASSET Education I have grown our trust from 3 to 14 schools over the last six years. I have experience as a headteacher in both a rural church school and a diverse urban school, a SIP, and a LA advisor. I am a member of the partnership board for the Ipswich OA. I was a founding member of CEON and I sit on the strategic boards at the Angles Maths Hub and Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT as well as being a member of the Educational Excellence Committee at Suffolk Academies Trust.
