Welcome to the Vegan Society 2022 AGM

Dear Vegan Society Member

As a full member of The Vegan Society, you are entitled to vote for candidates offering themselves for election as trustees of The Vegan Society in advance of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and to vote on motions either by proxy or in person at the AGM.

This is your opportunity to help to influence the direction of The Vegan Society and we need you to cast your vote so that we can take your views into account. Please take the time to consider the candidates and motions and help to shape the future of the society.

In order to protect members, staff and trustees from the continuing risk from Covid-19, The Vegan Society’s Council has decided not to hold a hybrid AGM this year. The AGM will be held online only on Saturday 21 May at 13:00hrs (GMT) via UK Engage’s live voting platform.

We are sorry not to be able to hold a hybrid AGM this year but we hope that it will be possible next year.

If you can’t attend the AGM online, you can vote in advance of the meeting using a proxy vote. Written questions for the AGM can be submitted by post or to [email protected]. Questions should be received by Friday 13 May to allow time to prepare answers.

Once you have logged into the voting site (using the vote button below) there are various documents to help you to cast your vote, including information on the candidates standing for election as trustees and arguments and counter arguments for the motions to the AGM.

Information on the society’s activities in 2021 can be found in the Impact Report and more detailed information and financial details can be found in the Report and Accounts 2021.

We know that the past year has been a very difficult time for many people and the society’s trustees and staff have been encouraged by the loyal support of our members. We are enormously grateful for that continued support.

Stephen Walsh, Chair of Council
