I have more than 15 years of experience in serving at various committees of IFLA,

#I was later elected by my library associations into the IFLA IT committee.
# I have served two terms in these committees
# I was an active member of the Big Data SIG.
# I was also elected into the Africa section where I served as
# an information coordinator
# secretary and
# the current chair of the section.
# at regional division, I was a secretary for the IFLA Division V, 2019 - 2021.

I have contributed to the preparation of documentation and planning committee for the section and I have a very good understanding of IFLA strategies and plans. I believe I am able to mentor and guide the committee members.

Having been on the IFLA committees for the past decade. I would like to continue to work towards ensuring that the higher levels and decision making become more inclusive of all the regions and languages. I believe that I would be most effective as Division Chair to make the voice of all regions to be heard.

I am a person of integrity and very diplomatic. I am respectful and trustworthy. I observe confidentiality to protect personal and privileged information.

I have served in government institutions and governance structures where I was required to declare any conflicts of interest and abstain from discussions where I have a conflict of interest.

I am willing to continue to serve IFLA and the LIS profession with integrity. I am willing to share my expertise, experience, and interest across the LIS community.
